Colorado Mountain Winefest

The 23rd annual Colorado Mountain Winefest presented by Alpine Bank returns Sept. 18-21 at Riverbend Park in Palisade. The “Festival in the Park” takes place on Saturday, Sept. 20 and is the state’s largest and oldest wine festival featuring over 50 Colorado wineries, live music, a grape stomp, live demonstrations & seminars and a crowd of over 5,500!

Food & Wine Pairings ~ Thursday through Sunday
From September 18th through the 21st, participating restaurants will pair a glass of Colorado wine with a delicious appetizer-sized snack. These pairings will be served at happy hour-style pricing at $20 or less.

Let your creativity flow as you paint alongside this year’s Commemorative Winefest Poster Artist, Kay Crane!
Kay will guide you step by step as you paint a beautiful vineyard landscape. Enjoy a great night with friends, food and wine.

a separate entrance and access to the shaded VIP Pavilion, commemorative Riedel crystal wine glass, a wine tote filled with gifts, exclusive parking in our VIP parking area, a delicious array of fresh gourmet dishes, concierge wine storage located in the Pavilion, unlimited tastings from dozens of Colorado wineries, live music, the ever-popular Grape Stomp, chef demonstrations and interactive Seminars! Your VIP ticket will act as a shuttle ticket as well! Simply show it to the shuttle driver and you will gain access to the round trip shuttle from Grand Junction to Palisade on September 20th, a $15 value! Must be 21+ with valid ID to enter.

 
Round Trip Shuttle Ticket – $15/$20 at the door
Shuttle stop at several participating hotels on Horizon Drive and Downtown Grand Junction. These round trip shuttle tickets can be purchased online or the day of the event at the DoubleTree Hotel and SpringHill Suites. Tickets will be sold on Saturday morning from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the DoubleTree Hotel and the SpringHill Suites.

We are proud to offer two shuttle options during Colorado Mountain Winefest on Saturday, Sept. 20th.

Option 1: Round-trip shuttles from Grand Junction to Palisade are available. These shuttles stop at several participating hotels on Horizon Drive and Downtown Grand Junction. These round trip tickets are $15.00 each and can be purchased online or the day of at the DoubleTree Hotel and Springhill Suites.

Are children and pets allowed at the festival?
Without exception, no one under the age of 21, including children in strollers or backpacks accompanying their parents, will be admitted into any Winefest event.
No pets will be allowed into the festival. Colorado Mountain Winefest is a 21 and over, adult event and IDs will be checked. Safety is our highest priority.

Can I purchase tickets the day of?
IF tickets are available, they will be more at the door. Tickets are $10 more for General Admission and Non-Drinker and $35 more for VIP. Buy now and save!

What does the General Admission ticket include?

What does the Non-Drinker ticket include?
The Non-Drinker ticket DOES NOT PERMIT any wine consumption or purchase. You must be 21+ to purchase this ticket.
This ticket includes the following:

  • Entrance into the park
  • A free water bottle (coupon issued at the gate)
  • Interactive seminars
  • Chef demonstrations
  • Live music
  • Grape Stomp

What if I can’t come to the event?
Just as a sporting event or concert, we do not refund tickets, however, tickets are transferable. 

Are coolers and outside food allowed?
No LARGE Coolers are allowed. Small coolers are OK. Unopened water bottles and soda are allowed. Reusable water bottles will be emptied before being allowed in the park. There are several FREE water stations located throughout the park. Outside food is allowed and picnicking is encouraged!

Will food be available for purchase inside of the park?
Yes! We have several vendors offering small food tastes at no charge as well as an entire Culinary Court full of vendors selling food at an additional cost. For VIP ticket holders, food is included with your ticket price and can be found inside of the VIP Pavilion.

Winefest is one of the Grand Valley’s premiere event and our hotels book up fast! Find more information under the Lodging tab.

Do you offer shuttle services ?
Yes, find all of this information under our Shuttles & Parking tab.

Can I purchase tickets anywhere other than online?
The only other place to buy tickets is at the gate on the day of the event at a higher price. We cannot guarantee that there will be any tickets available at the gate and encourage you to purchase in advance.

      There will be Free Shuttles throughout Palisade during Mountain Winefest on Saturday, Sept. 20th. Unfortunately, the Palisade High School parking lot will be closed and unavailable for Winefest traffic. Please use the Taylor Elementary or Mount Garfield Middle School parking lots. If you have any further questions, please call the CAVE & Colorado Winefest office at 970-464-0111
